Our mission is to support all members of the neurodivergent community to reach their mental health goals, through science-based practices. We develop personalized, neuroaffirming, plans “curated” to the values of each client. Through active collaboration with our clients, we guide them to take control of the actions and thoughts that shape their lives.
We specialize in 1-1 neuroaffirming therapy for all members of the neurodivergent community (teens, adults, teachers, parents) who also struggle with their mental health. With over 15 years of experience, we are proud to support those who have an official diagnosis, those who are newly diagnosed, or those who are self-diagnosed. At CFT our goal isn’t the keep clients forever, rather, we strive to empower each client with the needed skills until our service can be faded out over time.
Autistic Women’s Empowerment Group (AWEG)
Autistic Women's Empowerment Group (AWEG), is intended to offer a safe space to connect and process experiences related to being an autistic/neurodiverse. AWEG may provide educational tips, goals, and strategies that can potentially benefit participants but is not intended to focus on healthcare advice. Our group welcomes those who are over 18 years of age, identify as a woman (or non-binary / gender fluid), and feel like the autistic experiences discussed in group would be relatable to their life.
NOTE: This is not a social skills group, but we may discuss socialization as an autistic person. If you are looking for a space for social practice, this may or may not be an appropriate group for you.
Please reach out to Nicole Skotz nskotz@curatedfamilytherapeutics.com if you have any questions.
Testimonials
“Working with CFT has been great! My mindset… I’m a lot more emotionally stable than I used to be. All of the reflection on the things I’ve been able to accomplish, has really helped. All the action, planning, goal setting has helped me take control over my life.”
— Lauren (Los Angeles)
“In the past I have tried therapy and my therapists were really great at getting to the bottom of how I felt and why, but then I always left thinking… ‘okay, but what do I do about it’? The ‘here is what you can do about it’ is tough, but I’m really grateful for (CFT) helping me get there and holding me accountable.”
—Michael (Los Angeles)
“I’ve been in therapy for a long time and it never felt like it went anywhere. It’s not that the therapist was bad, but they never helped me understand my autism. Being with a provider who can talk about my autistic traits finally allowed me to start making some real progress. I’m grateful for CFT and their celebration of what makes me, me.”
—Eric (Los Angeles)
