Denise Vo is a bilingual (Vietnamese) and dedicated clinician with a strong background in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Nutrition, Strength Training, Sleep, Stress, and Recovery. She is passionate about guiding individuals towards personal growth, both physical and mental well-being, and meaningful life changes.
Denise’s approach to therapy is deeply rooted in the principles of ACT, which empowers clients to embrace their values, accept their emotions, and commit to actions aligned with their unique aspirations. She feels that every time a client doesn’t do the things they promise themselves they’d do, they chip away at the confidence and self-esteem because they lose trust in themselves. This does not mean they are not trying hard enough, but the avoidance of doing hard things, the boring work, the uncomfortable is keeping them from the life they’re trying to live.
As a clinician, Denise takes pride in a safe and supportive environment where clients are encouraged to embrace their thoughts and emotions without judgment. Her therapeutic practices center around knowledge, action, honesty. With that, her philosophy in session is that clients “do, not dwell”.
Within session she and her clients focus on getting comfortable being uncomfortable and goal driven actionable items backed with strategy. She is committed to helping clients create lasting changes in their lives by fostering a deeper understanding of themselves, their values, and their unique path forward. Together, she and her clients build a bridge between the clients present reality and the life they envision.
